Anchorage Home Builders Association Wins Award for Best Publication

[ANCHORAGE, Alaska, June 5, 2023] – Building Alaska magazine recently won an Association Excellence Award for Best Publication from the Executive Officers Council of the National Association of Home Builders.

“It’s truly an honor for the hard work and professionalism of the AHBA staff to be recognized,” said Jason Dial, AHBA president. “I applaud their dedication to representing the home builder members and preserving the American Dream of homeownership for our community.”

Despite limited resources, AHBA created a branded publication for its members targeting homeowners, homebuyers and other industry professionals. It features AHBA’s home tour events, articles on hot topics, and upcoming industry-related events and opportunities. Building Alaska is the only real estate magazine in Anchorage and is an invaluable resource to the community.

NAHB’s Association Excellence Awards is an annual program that recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of state and local home builders’ associations and executive officers in the field of association management. EOC membership is comprised of the staff executives who direct more than 590 NAHB-affiliated state and local home builders’ associations representing more than 130,000 home builders in communities across the United States.

“We have a superb professional network, and it’s awesome to witness when the award winners reach out and help our colleagues successfully duplicate their efforts,” said Jay Iverson, EOC president and executive officer of the HBA of Iowa. “The volunteers and staff members representing the 2022 winners should be proud.”

Winning entries will be added to the NAHB website so that other executives and associations across the country can access and learn from them to provide better service to their members and community.
